Foster ♥ Donate ♥ Adopt

No matter how small, every life counts.

As Kitten Season continues, Anthem Pets is contacted every day to save fragile kittens from risky situations. Since March 1 we have rescued almost 280 KITTENS and we need your help to give them the best chance to survive and thrive. Please consider fostering, shopping for supplies, or donating funds to cover their veterinary care. They all need loving homes, so please adopt one – or three!

Please Foster

Anthem Pets does not have a shelter, so we rely on animal lovers to provide temporary homes for pets in need. During kitten season we will need fosters for pregnant moms, neonatal babies, and litters of kittens. Neonatal kittens are newborn to 4 weeks of age, and caring for them can be rewarding, but also a 24-hour job. Our goal is to always rescue the mom cat with the kittens, but sometimes she has died, and so the human moms and dads have to step up. Please join our Kitten Care team this season and make a difference for the little ones. Roles include:

* Fostering pregnant mothers
* Bottle feeding neonatal litters
* Foster 6-week-old, weaned litters
* Foster kittens aged 3 months & older

Please email JessicaH@AnthemPets.org and let her know which kitten group(s) you can help. All supplies, training and medical expenses are provided by the rescue. If you’re on Facebook please join our Volunteer & Foster group for our real time kitten needs. Thank you for helping the little ones!

Donate Supplies & Gift Cards

Your donations are a tremendous help during Kitten Season when the need is the greatest. Supplies can be ordered from our Amazon Kitten Wish List, and supplies and gift cards ordered from our Walmart Kitten Registry. Both can be shipped directly to Anthem Pets.

If you prefer to shop locally, you can use the Amazon and Walmart lists to see what is currently needed, then drop off the supplies at the Anthem Community Center, 41130 N. Freedom Way or at Puff & Fluff at 39512 N. Daisy Mountain Dr., Suite #174, both located in Anthem. If you are not able to make a drop off and would like us to pick up your donation, please email us at Rescue@AnthemPets.org.

Financial Support

All kittens receive standard vet care, and when they’re about 4 months old they’re ready for adoption. They will go to their forever homes spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. The average cost of veterinary care for one kitten is $150. This doesn’t cover food, formula, litter and other essentials, or extra veterinary care if a kitten is sick. The cost of vet care for the 204 kittens rescued last year was a minimum of $30,600.

Your donations help us to provide their essential veterinary care. Click below to make an online donation, or mail checks to Anthem Pets at 39506 N. Daisy Mountain Dr, STE 122-125, Anthem, AZ, 85086. Tax receipts will be issued.
